Kenny Phan Photography bio picture

Hi there!

I am Kenny Phan, a Los Angeles & Orange County photographer specializing in weddings, portraits & events and willing to travel if necessary. Welcome to my website where I will provide to you a glimpse of my love and passion through my images. I am happily married to my gorgeous wife Vanessa of Vanessa Lam Photography and a proud father to my beautiful daughter, Kareena. I love the fact that I am married with children. There's nothing better than to witness the love between a couple or a happy family with their love ones. I take all these joy and inspiration when I am behind the camera, striving to capture all the little special moments that will last a lifetime. I look for the simple things in life that we may take for granted, yet are priceless. My styles are simple and bold, with a taste of old school and vintage. I love to capture the candids and the least expected, letting the photos tell the story.

I hope to have the opportunity to get to know you and be able to capture all the special moments in your life. And at the end of the day, my goal isn't only to provide to you with all the great images, but also to have gained your respect and friendship.

Disney’s California Adventure Park - Kareena

Of all the times we’ve been to Disneyland, this was the first time we step foot into the Disney’s California Adventure Park. Learning from our prior mistake of attempting to take Kareena out before her afternoon nap, this time we made sure she was well rested for the long day. Boy, what a big difference that made. She was full of energy and was just loving it there. Here are a few photos of the awesome fun time we had at the California Adventure Park.img_2829img_2836Me: Kareena, can you smile for daddy?
Kareena: “leave me alone daddy, I am enjoying the ride”.img_2861img_2874img_2883A quick stop to check out the Pixar Play Parade.img_2903img_2918img_2925img_2930One of Kareena’s favorite rides, King Triton’s Carousel.img_2960The big challenge was to see if Kareena can handle Mickey’s Fun Wheel.img_2979img_2986img_2991img_3020img_3046img_3067

I think she definitely passed that challenge. She was braver than we thought, wanting to stand up or sit by herself. A big hooray for Kareena. I must say I had a blast seeing how much fun Kareena had. To top it off, she finished an entire corn (okay, 90% of it) all by herself. That’s our little piggy. =)

Las Vegas - Kareena & Gianna

The Phan family recently took a mini trip to Las Vegas to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Wollan. The three days went by fairly quick as we enjoyed each others’ company and time. We also got to check out the new M Buffet. Despite going on a week night and missing out on the seafood, the M dinner buffet was quite decent and delicious. I particularly loved the desserts.

Kareena also had the opportunity to spend three whole days with her Las Vegas buddy Gianna. The two instantly got along and they seemed inseparable. Kareena even had a dream, woke up in the middle of the night, called out for Gianna (big sister in Chinese) and went back to sleep. The two definitely made one super cute BFFs.

Despite a minor weather related incident that caused a dink to Vanessa’s car, we definitely had a great time with our close friends in Las Vegas. Not to mention I killed at the poker table. =)

June 8, 2009 - 4:23 am Granma - Hi Kenny, Got the pictures and they are beautiful, thank you. You and Vanessa do some of the best photo shooting I've seen. Keep up the good work. It was wonderful to spend some time with you. Miss you 3 and love you a lot. Granma

USC - Lori & Brent’s 5 year anniversary couple photos

Vanessa and I had a great and awesome time at Lori and Brent’s couple session on the campus of USC. These two are so adorable together and such dorks at heart; and we love working with dorks. These two love birds are actually high school sweet hearts and will be celebrating their five year anniversary very very soon. Brent also recently got accepted to USC and will now be joining Lori at the same college. Congrats Brent!

Here are a few photos and a glimpse of Lori and Brent’s adorable and fun personalities. They have the cutest baby faces. Don’t they look perfect together!

As Vanessa was posing and capturing the two, I was busy testing my lighting and noticed their reflection on the glass doors.lori_brent-1120lori_brent-1135lori_brent-1185lori_brent-1188lori_brent-1204lori_brent-1215And of course we couldn’t go without a quick photo of their USC acceptance letters.lori_brent-1233

Calamigos Ranch, Malibu Ca. - Samantha & Curtis’ Wedding

While most were enjoying Memorial Day at the beach, at home firing up the BBQ or watching the Lakers game, I was venturing into the hills of Malibu at the Calamigos Ranch, assisting Henry of Henry Chen Photography with another wonderful and awesome wedding. Even though I prefer to be behind the camera capturing Samantha and Curtis’ special day, I would never give up an opportunity to assist and learn from a talented photographer and wonderful person as Henry is. Here are a few photos I was able to sneak in while assisting.img_1401img_1413img_14151img_1417img_1431
